Where the EU’s crude oil and fuel come from, as each member state reports its imports; every band’s width is proportional to tonnes.
In September 2024, Austria's road diesel supply was 467 kt: 33% from its own refineries, with imports mainly from Germany (48%), Slovenia (9%) and Italy (8%); tracing one step back, the crude behind it is estimated to come mainly from Kazakhstan (25%), Libya (12%) and Norway (9%), and 16% cannot be traced.
