CAPACITY IS FOR THE COMBINED BAYERNOIL OPERATION (Neustadt + Vohburg together, ~10 Mt/a of crude), NOT for this site alone. The two sites are run 'wie eine einzige Raffinerie'. DO NOT DOUBLE COUNT: the bayernoil-vohburg row deliberately carries EMPTY capacity for this reason. en2x lists 10,300 thousand t at 31.12.2022 under Vohburg. en2x cross-check value is a 31.12.2022 snapshot from a survey that is now demonstrably stale (it still shows Nynas Harburg operating, Wesseling crude running and bp owning Gelsenkirchen). No newer en2x edition is downloadable: the statistics page now redirects to the homepage. OWNERSHIP DISAGREES WITH en2x: BAYERNOIL's own site says VAROPreem AG 51.43% (VAROPreem is a Vitol + Carlyle joint venture) while en2x still says 'Varo Energy Refining GmbH 51,43%'. BAYERNOIL's own shareholder page is ALSO internally inconsistent, writing both 'Enilive Deutschland GmbH' and 'Eni Deutschland GmbH' for the same 20%. All variants recorded rather than resolved. The BAYERNOIL group was founded 1 January 1998; production at Neustadt since 1964 (~300 ha). A third site at Ingolstadt was shut on 18 August 2008 and demolished in 2013. Coordinates are OpenStreetMap-derived.
