EXPLICITLY RETAINED BY bp: the Gelsenkirchen sale release states bp 'retains a refining portfolio of five refineries ... Castellon, Lingen and Rotterdam in Europe'. Do not assume Lingen moved with Gelsenkirchen. THREE CAPACITY FIGURES, all cited: bp 'Stand 2025' gives ~4.5 Mt/a of crude PROCESSED (total feed ~5.1 Mt/a) and 'Rohoeldestillationen etwa 4,9 Millionen Tonnen/Jahr' (installed capacity); en2x gives 4,700 thousand t at 31.12.2022. The 4.9 Mt installed-capacity figure is recorded because this column is capacity, not throughput. en2x cross-check value is a 31.12.2022 snapshot from a survey that is now demonstrably stale (it still shows Nynas Harburg operating, Wesseling crude running and bp owning Gelsenkirchen). No newer en2x edition is downloadable: the statistics page now redirects to the homepage. NOTABLE FOR CRUDE-ORIGIN MODELLING: bp reports ~3.9 Mt/a foreign and ~0.6 Mt/a GERMAN crude - the only German refinery running all Lower Saxony domestic crude (since August 2015) plus Schoonebeek (NL) crude under a 2007 NAM contract.
