Eni's press release of 2019-09-25 states the plant was 'Launched in August 2019' with 'a processing capacity of up to 750,000 tonnes a year' and that it was built by converting a traditional refinery, with conversion work beginning in April 2016 (https://www.eni.com/en-IT/media/press-release/2019/09/eni-opens-its-bio-refinery-in-gela.html). Eni's current site page describes Gela as a biorefinery processing about 453 kilotons of biomass in 2024 with 400,000 tonnes/year of SAF capacity, and says activity at the site started in 1963 (https://www.eni.com/en-IT/actions/global-activities/Italy/gela.html). Capacity fields are left EMPTY because every published figure is biogenic feedstock or SAF output, not crude distillation.
