Former crude refinery, now closed. Gunvor's own case study page (opened 2026-09-22) states 'Gunvor ceased refining operations in Antwerp amidst the COVID-19 crisis' and 'The site was fully shutdown on 31 December 2022', and that Gunvor 'operated the Antwerp site since then as a tank storage location', with soil and groundwater remediation now under way. Gunvor's current refineries page (opened 2026-09-22) lists only Ingolstadt (Germany) and Gunvor Energy Rotterdam (Netherlands); Antwerp is described as divested, with 'Dutch tank storage company Vopak ... acquiring the shares of Gunvor Petroleum Antwerp from commodity trader Gunvor Group Ltd'. Corroboration: the EEA IED register shows 'Gunvor Petroleum Antwerpen' as 'functional' through reporting year 2022 and 'notRegulated' for reporting year 2023, with no later entry.
