Where the EU’s crude oil and fuel come from, as each member state reports its imports; every band’s width is proportional to tonnes.
In July 2025, France's road diesel supply was 2,686 kt: 57% from its own refineries, with imports mainly from Saudi Arabia (12%), the United States (8%) and Kuwait (6%); tracing one step back, the crude behind it is estimated to come mainly from the United States (14%), Kazakhstan (9%) and Libya (8%), and 34% cannot be traced.
