Where the EU’s crude oil and fuel come from, as each member state reports its imports; every band’s width is proportional to tonnes.
In October 2023, Spain's road diesel supply was 500 kt: 24% from its own refineries, with imports mainly from the Netherlands (18%), Italy (13%) and Oman (13%); tracing one step back, the crude behind it is estimated to come mainly from the United States (15%), Brazil (5%) and Norway (5%), and 38% cannot be traced.
