Lithuania · Oil imports
Lithuania: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2023, Lithuania imported 9.1 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Saudi Arabia (40%), Norway (27%) and the United States (23%). Its refined-product imports were 777 thousand tonnes, most from Finland (37%), Latvia (15%) and Kazakhstan (10%).

- How this figure is made
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
Yearly figures are the sum of the published monthly tonnes over the months with a published figure; shares are each origin’s tonnes over that sum. A month that is not published is left out and listed, never counted as zero, and a month counts as “reported none” only where the zero is confirmed. The part of the published totals the publisher did not attribute to a country is shown as “cannot be traced”. Refined products are seven product families (road diesel, petrol, jet fuel, heating and other gasoil, fuel oil, naphtha, LPG); other products such as bitumen and lubricants are not included.
The chart draws each month’s shares as a 3-month average over the months with figures in each window. A month that is not published is a hatched band labelled “Not published”, and a confirmed zero a plain band labelled “No imports reported”; neither is ever filled in or averaged over.
