Germany: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In January–June 2026, Germany imported 39.6 million tonnes of crude oil, most from the United States (20%), Norway (17%) and Kazakhstan (14%). Its refined-product imports were 11.7 million tonnes, most from the Netherlands (58%), Belgium (16%) and the United States (4%).
