Germany: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2021, Germany imported 81.3 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Russia (34%), the United States (13%) and Kazakhstan (10%). Its refined-product imports were 34.6 million tonnes, most from the Netherlands (49%), Russia (20%) and Belgium (14%).
