In 2020, Italy imported 50.4 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Azerbaijan (20%), Iraq (17%) and Saudi Arabia (13%). Its refined-product imports were 10.3 million tonnes, most from Saudi Arabia (16%), Algeria (11%) and Russia (9%).

Yearly figures are the sum of the published monthly tonnes over the months with a published figure; shares are each origin’s tonnes over that sum.
