France: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2017, France imported 56.9 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Kazakhstan (16%), Russia (16%) and Iran (12%). Its refined-product imports were 36.6 million tonnes, most from Russia (15%), the United States (11%) and the Netherlands (10%).
