Germany: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2023, Germany imported 77.4 million tonnes of crude oil, most from the United States (18%), Norway (18%) and Libya (11%). Its refined-product imports were 34.1 million tonnes, most from the Netherlands (55%), Belgium (17%) and the United States (3%).

Yearly figures are the sum of the published monthly tonnes over the months with a published figure; shares are each origin’s tonnes over that sum. A month that is not published is left out and listed, never counted as zero, and a month counts as “reported none” only where the zero is confirmed.
