Portugal: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2021, Portugal imported 9.4 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Brazil (39%), Nigeria (22%) and Azerbaijan (12%). Its refined-product imports were 2.9 million tonnes, most from Spain (60%), the Netherlands (11%) and the United States (8%).
