Italy: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2024, Italy imported 56.1 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Libya (21%), Azerbaijan (16%) and Kazakhstan (15%). Its refined-product imports were 12.9 million tonnes, most from Saudi Arabia (14%), Algeria (12%) and Egypt (7%).
