Spain: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted by the country the cargo was shipped from, as customs record it. Transit hubs such as the Netherlands therefore appear as sources; for crude oil, the default view counts by the country of production instead.
In 2015, Spain imported 67.8 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Nigeria (16%), Mexico (13%) and Saudi Arabia (10%). Its refined-product imports were 16.4 million tonnes, most from Russia (17%), Portugal (12%) and Italy (10%).
