Spain: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted by the country the cargo was shipped from, as customs record it. Transit hubs such as the Netherlands therefore appear as sources; for crude oil, the default view counts by the country of production instead.
In 2018, Spain imported 68.3 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Nigeria (15%), Mexico (14%) and Saudi Arabia (11%). Its refined-product imports were 16.5 million tonnes, most from Italy (16%), Russia (12%) and the United States (9%).
