Italy: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2016, Italy imported 60.9 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Iraq (20%), Azerbaijan (15%) and Russia (11%). Its refined-product imports were 12.3 million tonnes, most from Algeria (14%), Saudi Arabia (12%) and Spain (11%).

Yearly figures are the sum of the published monthly tonnes over the months with a published figure; shares are each origin’s tonnes over that sum.
