Italy: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In 2022, Italy imported 62.4 million tonnes of crude oil, most from Russia (19%), Libya (14%) and Azerbaijan (14%). Its refined-product imports were 11.6 million tonnes, most from Saudi Arabia (13%), Algeria (12%) and the United Arab Emirates (9%).
