Spain: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted by the country the cargo was shipped from, as customs record it. Transit hubs such as the Netherlands therefore appear as sources; for crude oil, the default view counts by the country of production instead.
In 2024, Spain imported 64.8 million tonnes of crude oil, most from the United States (16%), Brazil (14%) and Mexico (13%). Its refined-product imports were 14.2 million tonnes, most from Italy (24%), the United States (17%) and the Netherlands (8%).
