Spain: crude oil and fuel imports since 2015
Counted as the country reports it in its energy statistics: crude oil by the country where it was produced, refined products by the country they were last shipped from, which may be a trading hub rather than where they were refined.
In January–June 2026, Spain imported 29.1 million tonnes of crude oil, most from the United States (14%), Mexico (12%) and Libya (12%). Its refined-product imports were 8.8 million tonnes, most from Italy (19%), Gibraltar (14%) and the United States (9%).
